Dr. McSwain earned her B.S. in Biology from East Carolina University in 2011 then went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University. She purchased Broken Top Veterinary Clinic January of 2021 and looks forward to building relationships with your family and pets! Her special interests include Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Preventative Care and Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. McSwain and her husband married in June of 2020 and welcomed their first child in September 2021 and their second in July 2022. They have a house full of pets including a terrier mix, Normann, a pit bull mix, Billy, a Standard Poodle, Maggie, a Miniature Poodle, Pretty Girl and a cat, Terry, and a farm full of chickens, goats, ducks, sheep, a horse and donkey! You can find Dr. McSwain enjoying the outdoors and Central Oregon lifestyle with her family when she isn't at the clinic!

Noelle moved to Central Oregon a few years ago from Oahu where she graduated from the University of Hawaii and had the pleasure of working as a Registered Laboratory Animal Technologist for the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Yes, she misses the beaches and the endless summer, but loves the Central Oregon beautiful mountains, lakes, and abundant opportunities to explore. When she's not at work, you can usually find her out camping, hiking, shed hunting or rock hounding with her two rock hounds: Luke the Lab Mix and Penny the Adventure Chihuahua. Luke and Penny also have a special sister: Digit the polydactyl cat, that prefers the comfort of the couch to a tent.

Melissa has been with Broken Top Veterinary Clinic since August 2021. She has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Hawaii Pacific University. She further obtained her Veterinary Technician certification from Foothill College of California. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors including, but not limited to, hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding in the Winter.
Hayden
Veterinary Assistant
Hayden has been at Broken Top Veterinary Clinic since March of 2021. Hayden is a junior at Mountain View High School and plans to attend college in the fall of 2024 to study veterinary medicine. Hayden is the president of the Tri-County High School Rodeo team and spends most of her free time riding her seven horses. Hayden has three dogs, two Australian Shepherds named Oakley and Bex and a Red Heeler named Ruger.

Jenny
Receptionist
Jenny is a Texas native but has lived all over the US, UK and Germany. She was referred here, to Central Oregon, as a flight attendant 25 years ago. She is now working her dream job as a client experience specialist at BTVC. She is a proud mama and grandmother to two grandsons aged 2 and 17! Outside of the clinic she enjoys all disciplines of riding and has a lovey mare, Lea. Someday she hopes to return to the UK and settle out in the beautiful English countryside.
